Charlotte Area Real Estate News

If you live anywhere in or around the Charlotte, NC area then you may have heard about the company Chiquita moving their headquarters here.  This is fantastic news!

Chiquita is planning their move next year bringing with them 400+ jobs.  Though there will be some employees willing to relocate it is assumed that some 200+ jobs will come available.  Many of the jobs will be coming from the Cincinnati locations when they move.  Job positions such as accountants, human resources, IT professionals, financial workers among others will be coming with them.  The average salary for many of these jobs will be around $106,000.  They will be moving into the NASCAR Plaza office tower.

One of the major reasons for the move is the rapidly growing Charlotte/Douglas Airport.  With Chiquita being an international company, easier international travel was a must.

The more companies look at Charlotte as a possible location for their corporate headquarters the more they realize it is a perfect spot geographically and financially.

When companies relocate to Charlotte it helps to boost the local economy, create jobs and set an example to other major companies looking for a better location for their headquarters.

Chiquita says the move should be complete in late 2012.
